Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief

We here at Man's Best Friend Software have seen the horrific disaster caused by hurricane Katrina and its after-effects. Hundreds of thousands of people are homeless. Many of these people have pets. These pets need rescue. Many organizations have mobilized to help out, and we're no different.

This site is provided at absolutely no charge whatsoever to aid in finding homes for pets, helping people to find reputable places to offer their money and services, and for service organizations to place notices of pets that need temporary or permanent homes.

Why is this site here? To help. That's it. It's the least we can do.

You should register here...

If you are a motel or apartment owner who is wiling to rent or offer free space to refugees with pets;
If you can open your own home to one or more refugee(s) with pets;
If you are looking for housing for you and your pet;
If you are a shelter or rescue organization who can shelter pets while their owners look for housing;
If you can provide a temporary, loving home to, or adopt, one or more homeless pets;
If you have refugee pets that need temporary housing or a new home.

No donations will be accepted. If you wish to donate, please contact these organizations:

For animal rescue efforts, please donate to the American Kennel Club at www.akc.org, where one hundred percent of your donation goes to actual relief, and zero percent to administrative costs.
For human relief efforts please donate to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org, where over ninety percent of your donation goes to actual relief, and under ten percent to administrative costs.

Your personal information is kept confidential and will never be used by Man's Best Friend Software or any other organization for marketing purposes. Your information will never be sent to any organization or any person for charitable solicitations. We do not want any money or anything else. We just want to help.
